As we mentioned in previous articles, our primary goal has been to automate a significant part of webshop processes to save costs and time and provide our clients with a sustainable solution. With just a few configuration steps, it's also possible to define price segments for each customer group.

Technical insight: How does our system work?

Our backend system, responsible for automation, is built with a lightweight Java Spring Boot application. Designed based on a hexagonal architecture, it ensures maximum modularity. Shop updates are performed regularly through recurring tasks (Cron Jobs).

Product information, brands, prices, images, inventory, etc., are fetched via an external API. With the integration of the DeepL API, we can automatically translate texts into multiple languages. For instance, if product data is only available in German, we can automatically create a shop available in DE, EN, PT, and FR with high-quality and understandable content!

In short: all basic data is generated in our own domain model and stored in a NoSQL database. It is regularly synchronized via a Cron Job and transmitted to the shop system. This means that every 10 minutes, inventory, prices, translations, text, etc., are updated, ensuring the shop is always up to date.
